Clayre was not happy that the razorbacks lost this week to Texas. She got all dressed up, and called the hogs, but she couldn’t repair the damage Houston Nutt did by diddling TV news reporters when he should have been on recruiting trips.
Patrino has his work cut out for him. We’ll call this an off season, and next year a rebuilding year. If he lasts until the 3rd year, we may have a decent team.
Go Hogs! Win at least one more this season!
Or is that men? (just kidding!) Anna and Jeremy came by with their daughter Erica to see baby Clayre. Erica is almost 1 year old, and it’s pretty cool to see what Clayre will be doing before long. I think she had a good time running around and playing with all the cool low hanging stuff. For now she seems to listen to mom and dad very well, but I hear that changes pretty quick.
Great to see you guys!
We had a great time last weekend with my sister Katie and her family. Emily really enjoyed Clayre, and hopefully it gave her some good baby experience for when she has a little sister of her own this December. It was a nice laid back weekend spending time with the kids and catching up. David and I got out and ran a 5k on Saturday morning. David finished about 30 seconds ahead of me, and we both did a little better than we expected.
Can’t wait to see you guys again!
Clayre had several visitors this week. Greg, Kara, Carter & Braelynn came over for a quick visit, but I can’t find the picture of them (if we took one).
John Mark came early in the week and brought his girlfriend. She’ll be featured later on if he keeps her around.

Hollie’s friend and fellow teacher Lynn dropped in, but she’s a little camera shy.

And on Sunday, Jose, Alede and Joseph came over. Joseph was a ball, and really helped us see that we have quite a bit of baby proofing to do before Clayre starts walking.

Mom and baby are taking a nap downstairs this afternoon. They’re both tired from being up all night last night. She’s got a little work to do on the whole sleeping thing, but she’ll get it, just needs some more practice.
Ok, so we’ve been home since Monday. Clayre is slowly starting to shift her time scale around from being active at night to sleeping and being active during the day. Last night she gave us nearly a 4 hour break. This made mommy a little nervous and she kept getting up to check and make sure she was still breathing. We’re getting used to sleeping when ever we can, and enjoying having a baby. She’s already growing up way to fast for me.

Welcome Elizabeth Clayre Woodruff! Born September 13th, 2008 at 9:35am CST. Weighing in at a whopping 8lbs 1oz, and stretching out to 20″. Mom and baby are resting well. And though the hurricane hit Texas today, we barely noticed.

Thanks to everyone who sent textmessages of encouragement, and I’m sorry if I missed anyone on the birth announcement text. I think this is the happiest Hollie and I have ever been, and look forward to taking Clayre home and starting our lives together.
The pictures are up on Flickr, so check them out, and download away! I’ll be adding more over the next few days to the same photoset.
ok Folks, this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Today is Clayre’s official due date! She should be here now….
Well, being so much like her mother already, she has decided that she would like to show up fashionably late to her own birthday party. That said, I’m betting she’ll get here on Saturday since the university was so nice to reschedule the Razorbacks vs Longhorns game so that we wouldn’t miss it. Hollie on the other hand thinks it’s more likely to be in the Sunday/Monday time frame.
We’re so excited we can barely sleep, not to mention that one of us has a huge belly, can’t get comfortable, and snores a lot. Oh yeah, and Hollie’s pregnant, so she’s having trouble sleeping too.

She'll be here soon!
We talked the nurses into playing with the ultrasound machine today. They had a lot of fun, and we got to see our baby girl. She’s dialated 3cm and 80% effaced. (not sure on the spelling)
Great to see you this week Grandpa Darryl! We can’t wait to see you again when Clayre gets here. While he was down, I put him to work helping my install a new fan in ECW’s bedroom.

Hollie’s been having more contractions over the last few days, so we’ve decided to start tracking them. Obviously we won’t be tracking all of them, but will hopefully do this at least once a day. The word on the street is that when they hit 1 minute in duration at 5 minutes apart, it’s time to make our way to the hospital.
Had to remove the table because it was causing problems.
