Sorry Clayre is not always centered. I am holding the camera to the side because she won’t “perform” with me behind the camera.

Here is a picture of my mama and me on my first Halloween. We tried to recreate it! Tell us what you think.

Daddy’s 10 year high school reunion was this past weekend. We took Clayre to the picnic and she got to meet lots of sweet people including Jevon, Brett, Ryan, Keisha, Jackson, Tara, Carter, and Gracen.

Clayre was about 5 weeks when I recorded this video.

Last week we went to Conway. Clayre’s first trip to her parents hometown. There she got to meet a lot of people that have only been able to watch her through this website. Here she is with her Granana (my Nana) and her Great Grandma (my Grandma). They really enjoyed holding her and watching her sleep. I think she liked them too!

Here is a picture of Putty watching Clayre play last week. He is very interested in her and constantly wants to lick her toes. Last night, Clayre & I were listening to “Rubber Duckie” sung by Ernie…you know…”rubber duckie, your the one (squeak, squeak)…”. All of a sudden we heard what sounded like thunder, until Scout and Putty barreled into the room. Their ears perked and tails straight in the air. After watching them , I realized they were searching for the “squeaking” culprit. They searched Clayre’s room until the next song came on and the rubber duckie’s noises diappeared. I may have to get a video later.

Thanks for playing with me, rocking me, and changing my diapers Nanners. We will see if this name sticks!

My mom, also known as Nana, Granmommy, Nanners (well she hasn’t picked one yet), was here for 2 weeks while Ken went back to work. We played with Clayre and put her in lots of outfits. She semed to enjoy it–most of the time.

Here are some pictures of Clayre in and on things great grandmothers made or bought for her. Clayre’s Great Gramma Russell made her the sweater and booties. Doesn’t she look sweet in them! Clayre’s Granana got her the green dress. She looks ready for a party! And Clayre’s Great Grandma Little made both of the beautiful blankets she is on–one is quilted and the other is crocheted. They must love her a whole lot!

It was exactly one month ago this morning that you were ripped from your warm and cozy cocoon, and thrust into the cold hard world!  We’re so glad you’re here, and this first month has changed our lives in ways we never could have imagined.  Here’s to many, many more!

Clayre had fun with her new friends Mike and Jaclynn. Since Jaclynn is a nurse she gave baby Clayre a good once over to make sure everything is in order. She passed with flying colors.

Clayre was in a good mood for most of the visit, but did manage to soak through her diaper and get Mike all wet! Way to go Clayre! I think that means she likes you Mike. Come back soon.

Derek and Ashley brought Macy over to meet her new friend. Great to see you guys! Who would ever have believed that Derek and I would be fathers to two beautiful, bouncy little girls?

Ava

Hollie’s friend Ava came by to see Clayre and catchup. Ava has a few of her own, and before long Clayre will get to start playing with other kids, but for now she’s pretty content with a few visitors here and there.

Earlier this week Clayre and I got to share a special moment for the first time. Since Hollie has started pumping, I was able to give her a bottle. She took it without any problem. Now she knows that mommy’s not the only one that can give her food, and that daddy is good for more than just cleaning up her poop.
